19 January 2008: Day -1: Day Gone By

As Lucretius begins to categorize, Diderot starts to archive. This has and will happen. Allow me this quote from Matthias Winzen, “But what exactly happens to [an] object once it is chosen, collected, packaged, stored, deposited, and indexed? Is it more important to the collector to remember and document the past, or to lay stock in the future? Or is it always about both?”
It is really, possibly, no matter. And so Lucretius, what do you say – what had you said? “Now then, learn/ How tenuous is the nature of an image”.
And so it goes.
